Plain-language Terms of Service

Aloha. These terms are written to be read. By creating an account or buying anything on elementlotus.com, you agree to them.
1. What we sell
We sell time-boxed access passes and services:
- Membership passes (Civic Member, Studio Org, Council Pro): a monthly pass is 30 days of access from the day you buy it; an annual pass is 12 months. When a pass lapses, your access pauses until you choose to renew. We never auto-bill. There is no subscription that charges you on its own.
- The Verified Circles Pass: a one-time purchase that covers your human identity verification (one check plus one retry) to enter the verified multiplayer circles. All TribeGameStudios games remain free to play, always.
- Grant Writing services: professional writing work, delivered as described on the product page. Complex work is quoted individually before any charge.
- The Dispatch (paid tier): a 30-day pass to the paid digest. The free edition stays free.
2. What is always free
The public civic record is never behind a paywall. Money, votes, permits, minutes, and sourced public records remain open to every person, with or without an account. Filing a public records request and tracking it is free. All TribeGameStudios games are free to play.
3. Accounts
You need an account (a working email address) to use member features. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. One person per account. You must be at least 13 to make an account, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to make a purchase or complete identity verification.
4. Identity verification (Verified Circles)
The verified circles exist so that every participant is a real, verified human. Verification is processed by Stripe Identity; we receive only a pass/fail result, never your documents. If your verification does not pass after the included retry, contact us and we will make it right (see the Refund Policy).
5. Acceptable use
Be a real person, act with aloha. Do not: impersonate others, attempt to breach or overload the systems, resell or share paid access, scrape member areas, or use the platform to harass anyone. Citizen referendums on the civic platform are unofficial petitions — signing is not voting, and only an elections office certifies anything.
6. Your content and ours
Things you submit (saved searches, requests, petitions you author) stay yours; you give us permission to store and display them as the feature requires. Our creative works, music, films, code, and brand belong to elementLOTUS / 12 Stones Global and their licensors. The public civic record belongs to the public.
7. Honest limits
The services are provided as they are, without warranties beyond what the law requires. Civic data is presented from cited public sources and framed as sourced record, not accusation; we correct errors when shown them. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Changes and endings
We can update these terms; the effective date above always tells you the current version. If a change matters to a pass you already bought, the terms you bought under govern that pass. You can stop using the services any time — nothing auto-bills, so walking away costs nothing.
